Why is Jesus different?

Imagine this, an obscure peasant woman, having a obscure carpenter's Son, in an obscure village in the middle east 2,000 years ago. This Son, working in His dads trade for 30 years, then has a ministry of preaching words that no one has ever heard before for 3 years. Then He is crucified and killed.
This man, has never traved more than 200 miles from His birth place, and yet out of all the glories of all the rulers of all the nations, and out of all the govornments and air forces the world has ever known, none of them has ever come close to affecting the world as much as this single, solitary life as Jesus of Nazareth. His book has been the #1 best seller for 2,000 years in a row, the hearts of countless billions have been affected by Him.

This Man, has affected the course of human history like no other. If you are reading this, and dont know Jesus of Nazareth as your personal Saviour, stop and think, "What if I had been wrong about Him" Trust Him with your sins, He rose again.

Jesus said "I Am the Way and the Truth and the Life, No man comes unto the Father but through Me" John 14:6

Can I lose my Salvation?

This is a topic that EVERY Christian should look into, but nowadays most people think that the question has too much theology attached to it. But lets find the answer through God'd Word.

First of all we have to evaluate our own Salvation and how we get it, is it all by what Jesus Christ did on the cross, or is it a mixture of what we do also. lwets look at Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast" these two verses shed alot of much needed light on the topic. The moment you put your trust in Jesus as your Savior, All of your sins are forgiven, because "The LORD hath laid upon Him the iniquity of us all" Isaiah 53:6.

And the words that Jesus spoke on the cross "it is finished" says alot also. Salvation is a gift, if you had to do anything for a gift, it wouldn't be a gift, and if you had to do anything to keep that gift, it certaintly wouldn't be a gift. If Jesus paid for all of your sin, past, present, and future, then what sins do you have to worry about paying for?

"Lest ye be born again you cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven"

Wow, powerful statement, Jesus said that this is a requirement to have eternal life.
You were born once from your mother (hopefully) that is the first birth, we are all still borne spiritually in our sins, so naturally we would have to be born again. Once you have trusted Jesus Christ as Savior, you are immidiatly born again, that means that you are Spiritually born into God's family, Paul says to cry to Him as "Abba" Father. now lets say you did something that was very wrong to your Father here on earth, and you kept doing it over and over again, The most logical outcome would be that your dad would punish you, because He loves you, but the things we do wrong doesn't change the fact that He is still going to be your Father would it?

Absolutly not! the moment you are saved you are saved forever, God your Father would never cast you into hell for the sins that Jesus already paid for in full. But i strongly would not recommend sinning against your Heavenly Father, because He will chasten you (Wich is not pleasent!) or if you do it long enough, can actually take you home early.

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He hath saved us" Titus 3:5

Very self explainatory statement, have you ever heard "Not what we do, but what Christ did" that is the absolute truth. Isaiah 64:6 says "All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags in the sight of God" all of our good works spread out through a lifetime could not earn eternal life, because they also are tainted with sin. You turn over a new leaf, its an upside down leaf, you turn from all your sin (impossible) that would be a good work, and trying to earn Salvation.

"Him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.. All which the Father hath given Me I should lose nothing, but raise it up again at the last day" John 6:37,39

All people who are acknowledge that they have sin, and express their need for a Savior, and place their trust in Jesus, are saved forever, thats what "Repent" means, in the greek "Metanioa" "change your mind"

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath (posesses now) Everlasting"

If you now know for sure that you are going to Heaven, and you realize its not what you do, or are doing that gets you to Heaven, but what Christ did for you on the cross, I ask you to say to God something like this "Lord, i know im a sinner, and its my sin that seoarates me from You, and the best i know how i place my trust in Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, thank you for the assurance that I am going to Heaven when I die"

What about the Jehovah's witness?

The Jw's may seem like just another denomination of the church, and part of the Body of Christ, but lets check out in depth what they actually believe and teach.

Jehovah's witness Salvation: "work your way to Heaven"

The "ransom for all" given by "the man Christ Jesus" does not give or guarantee everlasting life or blessing to any man; but it does guarantee to every man another opportunity or trial for life everlasting. studies in the scriptures page 150

The ransom given does not excuse sin in any; it does not propose to count sinners as saints, and usher them thus into everlasting bliss. It merely releases the accepting sinner from the first condemnation and its results, both direct and indirect, and places him again on trial for life, in which trial his own wilful obedience or wilful disobedience will decide whether he may or may not have life everlasting. Studies in the scriptures 152

Only their church members will be saved, (The Watchtower, Feb, 15, 1979, p. 30

Biblical response to these claims:

Jesus shed His blood for all flesh:

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16

"For the Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost"

"All we like sheep hath gone astray, each one hath turned to his own way, and the LORD hath laid upon Him the iniquity of us all" Isaiah 53:6

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God that ye may know that ye have everlasting life" 1st John 5:13

Salvation is by grace through faith alone:

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He hath saved us" Titus 3:5

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast"

"But to him that worketh not, but believeth upon Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith in accounted to him as righteousness"

Salvation is God's gift, if we had to do anything to receive a gift, it wouldn't be a gift now would it, and if we had to do anything to keep that gift, it certainly would not be a gift.

Jw's doctrine: Jesus was created

Jehovah's first creation was his 'only-begotten Son'. . . was used by Jehovah in creating all other things", Aid to Bible Understanding, pp. 390-391.

Jesus was only a perfect man, not God in flesh, Reasoning from the Scriptures, 1985, pp. 306.

Jesus was Michael the archangel who became a man, The Watchtower, May 15, 1963, p. 307; The New World, 284.

The Biblical response to these claims:

"For by Him ALL things were created, that are in Heaven, and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers, ALL things were created by Him and for Him. And He is before ALL things and by Him ALL things consist" Colossians 1:16-17

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word WAS God. He was in the beginning with God, All things were made through him and without Him nothing was made that was made.... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth" John 1-3,14

"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government shall rest upon His shoulders, and His name shall be called wonderful, counselor, Mighty GOD, Everlasting Father, prince of peace" Isaiah 9:6

Notice in Isaiah 9:6, The flesh was born, but the Son was Given, you cant give Something that didnt already exist. You cannot be an Everlasting Father without having an Everlasting Son.

Jw's doctrine: the Trinity is a lie

"When the clergy are asked by their followers as to how such a combination of three in one can possibly exist, they are obliged to answer, "That is a mystery." Some will try to illustrate it by using triangles, trefoils, or images with three heads on one neck. Nevertheless, sincere persons who want to know the true God and serve him find it a bit difficult to love and worship a complicated, freakish-looking, three-headed God. The clergy who inject such ideas will contradict themselves in the very next breath by stating that God made man in his own image; for certainly no one has ever seen a three-headed human creature." Let God be True 1946, pg. 102

"This doctrine of three Gods in one God...is one of the dark mysteries by which Satan, through the Papacy, has beclouded the Word and character of of the plan of God." Let God be True 1946, pg. 60 - 61

The Biblical response to these claims:

Just for the record, Born again Christians do not believe in three god's, we believe in three co- equal personages of the GodHead, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. water is seen as being one, water is water right? but when you look closer, it is three, all three equal, but each one distinct in what it does, water is the source of all life, and yet exists in three parts.

"For there are three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word (see john 1:14), and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one" 1st John 5:7

"But to the Son He says: Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; the scepter of uprighteousness is the scepter of thy Kingdom" Hebrews 1:8

"And behold, the Heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him, and suddenly a voice came from Heaven, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I Am well pleased"

Here is an illistration, Father and His voice, The Spirit as a dove, And the Son in bedily form.

"Your father Abraham rejoced to see My day, and He saw it and was glad. Then the Jews said to Him, You are not yet 50 years old, and You have seen Abraham? Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, Verily I say unto you, before Abraham was, I AM"

Jesus has just established in that verse that He is the Great I AM

If you would like to accept Jesus Christ for who He really is, and trust Him with the full payment of your sin.

Leading minds agree on the existence of God

"The fool hath said in his heart there is no God" Psalm 14:1. These men were obviously no fools.

Sir Isaac Newton:

"This most beautiful system of the sun, planets, and comets, could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent Being. … This Being governs all things, not as the soul of the world, but as Lord over all; and on account of his dominion he is wont to be called “Lord God”

" This thing [a scale model of our solar system] is but a puny imitation of a much grander system whose laws you know, and I am not able to convince you that this mere toy is without a designer and maker; yet you, as an atheist, profess to believe that the great original from which the design is taken has come into being without either designer or maker! Now tell me by what sort of reasoning do you reach such an incongruous conclusion?"

Albert Einstein:

"God does not play dice."

"Everyone who is seriously interested in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a Spirit in manifest in the laws of the Universe- A Spirit vasly superior to that of man, and one in the face of which we with our modest powers must feel humble"

Robert Jastow, Director of Nasa's Goddard Institute for space studies:

"I am fascinated by some strange developments going on in astronomy... the astronomical evidence leads to a Biblical view of the origen of the world"

Robert Boyle:

"From a knowledge of His work, we shall know Him""Christ's passion, His death, His resurrection and ascension, and all of those wonderful works which He did during His stay upon earth, in order to confirm mankind in the belief of His being God as well as man."

Michael Faraday:

"Since peace is alone in the gift of God; and as it is He who gives it, why should we be afraid? His unspeakable gift in His beloved Son is the ground of no doubtful hope." --[1861 letter]"The Bible, and it alone, with nothing added to it nor taken away from it by man, is the sole and sufficient guide for each individual, at all times and in all circumstances…For faith in the divinity and work of Christ is the gift of God, and the evidence of this faith is obedience to the commandment of Christ."

James Prescott Joule:

It is evident that an acquaintance with natural laws means no less than an acquaintance with the mind of God therein expressed."

"Order is manifestly maintained in the universe...governed by the sovereign will of God. After the knowledge of, and obedience to, the will of God, the next aim must be to know something of His attributes of wisdom, power, and goodness as evidenced by His handiwork."

James Clerk Maxwell:

" No theory of evolution can be formed to account for the similarity of molecules, for evolution necessarily implies continuous change."

"Almighty God, Who has created man in Thine own image, and made him a living soul that he might seek after Thee, and have dominion over Thy creatures, teach us to study the works of Thy hands, that we may subdue the earth to our use, and strengthen the reason for Thy service; so to receive Thy blessed Word, that we may believe on Him Who Thou has sent, to give us the knowledge of salvation and the remission of our sins. All of which we ask in the name of the same Jesus Christ, our Lord."

Luise Pasteur:

"The more I study nature, the more I stand amazed at the work of the Creator." "Science brings men nearer to God."

Lord Kelvin:

"Overwhelmingly strong proofs of intelligent and benevolent design lie around us...the atheistic idea is so non-sensical that I cannot put it into words."

Jesus Christ: the fulfilment of prophecy of the Messiah

Jesus Christ as the fulfillment Of prophecy of the Messiah (Moshiach)

Messiah as the seed of a woman:
Genesis 3:15 “And I shall put enmity between
thee and the woman, and between thy seed,
it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise
thy heel”

Isaiah 7:14 “Therefore the LORD Himself
shall give you a sign, behold, a virgin shall
conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call
His name Immanuel”

Matthew 1:23 “Immanuel, being interpreted is,
God with us”

Galatians 4:4 “But when the fullness of time
was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a
woman, made under the law”

Triumphal entry into Jerusalem on a donkey:

Zechariah 9:9 “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of
Zion, shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold,
thy King cometh to thee: He is just, and having
Salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, upon a
Colt the foul of an ass”

John 12:13-14 “Took branches of palm tree’s and
Went forth to meet Him and cried hosanna: blessed
Is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the
Lord. And Jesus, when He had found a young ass, sat
Thereon, as it is written”

Crucified, pierced through hands and feet:

Psalms 22:16-18 “For dogs have compassed Me: the
Assembly of the wicked have enclosed Me: they have
Pierced My hands and feet. I may tell all My bones:
They look and stare upon Me, they part My garments
Among them, and cast lots upon My vesture”

Psalm 22 was written 1,000 years before the crucifixion
Of Yeshua, and described crucifixion before it was even
Used as a peanulty of death.

Matthew 27:35 “And they crucified Him, and parted His
Garments among them, and upon My vesture they did cast
Lots”
Agonized in thirst:

Psalms 22:15 “My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and
My tongue cleaveth to My jaws; and thou hast brought Me
Into the dust of death”

John 19:28 “After this, Jesus knowing that all things were
Now accomplished, that the scriptures might be fulfilled
Saith, I thirst”
Given gall and vinegar:

Psalm 69:21 “They gave Me also gall for My meat; and
In My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink”

Matthew 27:34 “They gave Him vinegar to drink mingled
Will gall; and when He tasted therefore, He would not
Drink”
The stone the builders rejected:

Psalms 118:22-23 “The stone which the builders refused
Is become the head of the corner. This is the Lords doing,
And it is marvelous in our eyes”

Isaiah 28:16 “Therefore sayeth the LORD God, behold,
I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a
Precious cornerstone, a sure foundation: He that beliveth
Shall not make haste”

Matthew 21:41-43 “Jesus sayeth unto them, did ye ever
Read in the scriptures, the stone which the builders rejected,
The same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lords
Doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes. Therefore say I unto
You, the Kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given
To a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof”

Acts 4:11 “This is the stone which was set at nought of you
Builders, which is become the head of the corner”
Ephesians 2:20 “And are built upon the foundation of the
Apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief
Cornerstone”
Born of Bethlehem Ephratah:
Micah 5:2 “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou
Being little among the thousands of Judea, yet out of thee
Shall he come forth unto Me that is to be ruler in Israel;
Who’s going’s forth have been from old, from everlasting”

The Moshiach had to be born in Bethlehem, this verse
Shows also that the Moshiach is to be preexistent.

Matthew 2:1-6 “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem
Of Judea in the days of herod the king, behold,
There came wise men from the east of Jerusalem”
Moshiach to offer His blood as the final sacrifice for Sin:

Isiah 53:3-10,12 “He is despised and rejected of men;
A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid
As it were our faces from Him; He was despised and we
Esteemed Him not. Surly He hath borne our grief’s and
Carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken,
Smitten of God and afflicted.

But He was wounded for our
Transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the
Chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His
Stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray,
We have turned everyone to his own way, and the LORD
Hath laid upon Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed,
And He was afflicted, yet His did not open His mouth, He
Is brought as a Lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep
Before her shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth.
He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who
Shall declare His generation?

For He was cut off out of theLand of the living, for the
transgression of my people wasHe stricken. And He made His
grave with the wicked, and With the rich in His death; because He
had done no violence, Neither was any deceit in His mouth.
Yet it pleased the LORD To bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief,
when thou shalt Make His soul an offering for Sin, He shall see His seed, He
Shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall
Prosper in His hand. 12. And He bare the Sin of many, and
Made intercession for the transgressors”

Isaiah 53, is the most compelling truth that Yeshua is the
Moshiach, His death, burial and resurrection was given
To us in these verses 700 years before the Birth of Yeshua.
Yeshua was crucified with 2 thieves on the cross, and
Buried in the tomb of Joseph of Aramathia, wicked at
His grave, and rich in His death. Isaiah chapter 53 was
Found in the Dead Sea Scrolls, and is word for word in
The translation.
Salvation to the Jews and Gentiles through Yeshua
Moshiach:

2nd Corinthians 5:21 “For He (God) hath made Him (Yeshua)
to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made
the righteousness of God in Him (Yeshua)”

John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that He gave His
Only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should
Not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His
Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world
Might be saved through Him. He that believeth on the Son
Is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned
Already, because He hath not believed on the name of
The only begotten Son of God”

Isaiah 11:10 “And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse,
Who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the gentiles
Shall seek Him, and His resting place shall be glorious”

Isaiah 42:1 “Behold! My servant whom I uphold, My Elect
One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon
Him, and He will bring forth justice to the gentiles”

Isaiah 49:6 indeed He says “It is too small a thing that
You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob,
And to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also
Give you as a light to the gentiles, that You should be My
Salvation to the ends of the earth”

Yeshua, our Passover:
Yeshua, is the Lamb that God gave to all that come to Him
For the remission of sins, we all have sin, Isaiah 64:6 says
That all our good works are as filthy rags in God’s sight,
Because they are tainted with sin, God is perfect, and
Heaven is perfect, to go to heaven we have to be sinless,
The blood of the Lamb is the only thing that God will
See on us, and He will pass us over for judgment.

Yeshua shed His blood for the forgiveness of everyone,
But we have to receive it, we have to put the blood on us
To have our sins forgiven. All that is needed is to trust
Yeshua with the payment of your sin debt, as your Savior,
And God will give you His own righteousness in place of our
Sin. The Law was given, not to establish our own righteousness,
But to show us our sin, and to see the need of the Savior.
The Jewish people have no payment for sin, no sacrifice, thus
No forgivness, Yeshua made that final sacrifice.

In the book of Daniel, chapter 9, verse 26 shows that the
Moshiach had to come before the destruction of the temple,
And Titus destroyed that temple in 70.AD. in 2,000 years,
Who has ever fit the description of the Moshiach but Yeshua?
Yeshua fulfilled 330 prophecies in the 30 years of His life, and
Will come again to judge the world in righteousness.
John 14:6 says “ I am the way, and the truth, and the life,
No man cometh unto the Father but by Me”

Bringing the truth to Mormon's

What must I do to be saved?

Salvation, the topic is on everbodies mind, but few know the answer. In this Gospel tract we will compare what the Bible has said for us to have everlasting life, and also what the Mormon doctrine of Salvation has proclaimed.

Mormon Salvation:

"We know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do," (2 Nephi 25:23).

"This grace is an enabling power that allows men and women to lay hold on eternal life and exaltation after they have expended their own best efforts" (LDS Bible Dictionary, p. 697).
There is no salvation without accepting Joseph Smith as a prophet of God, (Doctrines of Salvation, Vol. 1, p. 188.)

"As these sins are the result of individual acts it is just that forgiveness for them should be conditioned on individual compliance with prescribed requirements -- 'obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.'" (Articles of Faith p. 79).

Jesus' sacrifice was not able to cleanse us from all our sins, (murder and repeated adultery are exceptions), (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 3, p. 247, 1856.)

Helaman 12:24,26 “And may God grant, in His great fulness, that men might be brought unto repentance and good works, that they might be restored unto grace for grace, according to their works… Yea, who shall be consigned to a state of endless misery, fulfilling the words which say: they that have done good shall have everlasting life; and they that have done evil shall have everlasting damnation”

Baptism, the laying on of hands, public confession, accepting Joseph Smith as a prophet of God, living a very good life, after all of these things have been done, then God will give you eternal life, but not by faith alone, lets see what the Bible says.
(note) The Biblical response to Helaman: Romans 3:12 “There is none that doeth good, no not one”- Isaiah 64:6 “All our righteousnesses are as fithy rags in the sight of God”

The Mormons teach that Salvation is not by Jesus Christ alone, but by exausting all of your own efforts first, and then God will give you grace. This cannot be, the bible clearly states that Salvation is by grace alone through faith in the shed Blood of Jesus Christ on the cross of calvary.
Salvation by grace according to the Bible:
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace ye are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves,it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast”

For by grace are ye saved: grace is something we don’t desurve, and cannot be earned. Through faith: only faith can take away your sins, faith in Jesus’ shed Blood. And that not of yourselves: not of yourselves means exactly what it means, nothing we can do can save, help save, or keep us saved.

It is the gift of God: a gift is something you reach out and take, if you had to do anything for a gift, it wouldn’t be a gift, would it. Not of works: Again, nothing YOU can do. Lest any man should boast: you can go up to anyone in Heaven and say, what did you do to get in here, no one will have a different answer that this, I trusted Jesus Christ as my Savior, I didn’t desurve Heaven, but God gave me the gift.

Titus 3:5 “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost”

1 Corinthians 5:21 “For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him”

Romans 4:5 “but to him that worketh not, but believeth upon Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness”

Romans 11:6 “And if by grace, then it is no more of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace, but if it be of works, it is no longer of grace, otherwise work is no more work”

Acts 16:31 “And brought them out, and said, sirs, what must I do to be saved? and they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved and thy house”

John 6:47 Jesus said “Verily, verily I say unto you, He that beleiveth on Me hath everlasting life”

Romans 3:28 “Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith, without the works of the law”

By having to keep the Law of God to be saved, and you have to keep the entire Law, lets look at

James 2:10 “For whosoever shall keep the whole Law, and yet offend at one point, He is guilty of all” we all can try and live a good life, but the truth is we all have sin (Romans 3:23) every one of us, and all of our efforts are in vain (saiah:64:6), good works cant wipe them clean, only the shed Blood of Jesus can.

The word Gospel in it self means “Good news”, as you can plainly see here, the main theme of the Gospel is that it is all by grace, and not by our own works. God’s Salvation is for all who trust Jesus as their Savior, it is a gift, if you had to do anything for a gift, it wouldn’t be a gift would it, and if you had to do anything to keep a gift, it certaintly wouldn’t be one.

Mormon doctrine:
"The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as mans; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us.” Doctrine of covenants, 130:22
“God is a man” History of the church, page 305, verse 6

The Biblical response to this claim:
Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that He should lie”
1 Samuel 15:29 “And also the strength of Israel will not lie nor relent. For He is not a man, that He should relent”
Hosea 11:9 “For I Am God, and not man, the Holy One in your midst”
John 14:17 “The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you”
Mormon doctrine:

“God is always changing” Journal of discourses, page 93 verse 1, pg 120 verse 6
The Biblical resonse to this claim:
Malachi 3:6 “For I Am the Lord, I change not”
Hebrews 13:8-9 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever. do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines”

Mormon doctrine:
“There are three God’s” The teachings of the prophet Joseph Smith, pg 370,372

The Biblical response to this claim:
Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is One Lord”
Isaiah 43:10-11 “And understand that I Am He, Before Me there was no God fomed, nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, Am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior”
Isaiah 44:6 “I Am the first and I Am the last; besides Me there is no God”
Isaiah 44:8 “Have I not told you from that time, and declared it? Is there a God besides Me? indeed there is no other rock, I know not one”
Isaiah 45:5 “I Am the Lord, there is no other; there is no God besides Me”
Isaiah 45:18 “For thus saith the Lord, who created the Heavens, who is God, who formed the Earth and made it, who has established it, and who did not create it in vain, who formed it to be inhabited: I Am the Lrd and there is no other”

Mormon doctrine:
“God the Father had physical intercourse with Mary” Journal of discourses pg 51 vs 1, Mormon doctrine page 547

Biblical response to this claim:
This is a very interesting statement, because it disproves the entire Mormon doctrine, if one part is wrong or contradictory, God did NOT write it. First off, the Messiah had a very strict guidline to follow to even be called the Messiah, one of the biggest prophecies that the Messiah would fulfil, would be that He would be concieved, and born of a Virgin.
Isaiah 7:14 “Behold, a virgin shall concieve and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel” Immanuel meaning, God among us.
If the Messiah had not been born of a virgin, He certainly would not be called the Messiah.

Mormon doctrine:
“Without Joseph Smith, you cannot enter Heaven”
“no man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of God without the consent of Joseph Smith.” Journal of Discourses Vol 7 Page 289

The Biblical response to this claim:
John 14:6 “I Am the way, and the truth and the life, No man cometh unto the Father but by Me, if ye had known Me, ye would have known My Father who sent Me”
1st Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”

Is Jesus God?
there are literally hundreds of passages in the Bible that clearly show that Jesus Christ isnt just merly a created being, but that He is the Creator Himself.
Colossians 1:16 “For by Him all things were created that are in Heaven and that are on Earth, visable and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalaties or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him”
John 1:1-3,14 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made… And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth”
Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a Chlid is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall rest upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Might God, Everlasting Father, Prince of peace.
Only three verses, and how clearly stated by scripture that Jesus Himself is the creator, the Mighty God.

What about the trinity?
Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is One Lord”
The word God,used here in the Hebrew, means Elohim, and the definition of Elomhim is three. there isnt three God’s, as we have learned through this pamphlet, but God exitsts in three equal yet distinct persons.
The example I like to use, is water, water is the source of all life, and yet it has three parts, the three parts are equal, and yet have different jobs. but water is one unifiable life giving source
I ask you now, to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior, He shed His blood and rose again for your forgivness. pray something like this: Lord, I know I am a sinner, deserving of eternal hell, my sins have separated me from You, and the best that I know how, I put my trust in Jesus as my Savior, there is nothing I can do myself, because Jesus did it all, thank You for the free gift of eternal life.
