Can I lose my Salvation?

This is a topic that EVERY Christian should look into, but nowadays most people think that the question has too much theology attached to it. But lets find the answer through God'd Word.

First of all we have to evaluate our own Salvation and how we get it, is it all by what Jesus Christ did on the cross, or is it a mixture of what we do also. lwets look at Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast" these two verses shed alot of much needed light on the topic. The moment you put your trust in Jesus as your Savior, All of your sins are forgiven, because "The LORD hath laid upon Him the iniquity of us all" Isaiah 53:6.

And the words that Jesus spoke on the cross "it is finished" says alot also. Salvation is a gift, if you had to do anything for a gift, it wouldn't be a gift, and if you had to do anything to keep that gift, it certaintly wouldn't be a gift. If Jesus paid for all of your sin, past, present, and future, then what sins do you have to worry about paying for?

"Lest ye be born again you cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven"

Wow, powerful statement, Jesus said that this is a requirement to have eternal life.
You were born once from your mother (hopefully) that is the first birth, we are all still borne spiritually in our sins, so naturally we would have to be born again. Once you have trusted Jesus Christ as Savior, you are immidiatly born again, that means that you are Spiritually born into God's family, Paul says to cry to Him as "Abba" Father. now lets say you did something that was very wrong to your Father here on earth, and you kept doing it over and over again, The most logical outcome would be that your dad would punish you, because He loves you, but the things we do wrong doesn't change the fact that He is still going to be your Father would it?

Absolutly not! the moment you are saved you are saved forever, God your Father would never cast you into hell for the sins that Jesus already paid for in full. But i strongly would not recommend sinning against your Heavenly Father, because He will chasten you (Wich is not pleasent!) or if you do it long enough, can actually take you home early.

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He hath saved us" Titus 3:5

Very self explainatory statement, have you ever heard "Not what we do, but what Christ did" that is the absolute truth. Isaiah 64:6 says "All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags in the sight of God" all of our good works spread out through a lifetime could not earn eternal life, because they also are tainted with sin. You turn over a new leaf, its an upside down leaf, you turn from all your sin (impossible) that would be a good work, and trying to earn Salvation.

"Him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.. All which the Father hath given Me I should lose nothing, but raise it up again at the last day" John 6:37,39

All people who are acknowledge that they have sin, and express their need for a Savior, and place their trust in Jesus, are saved forever, thats what "Repent" means, in the greek "Metanioa" "change your mind"

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath (posesses now) Everlasting"

If you now know for sure that you are going to Heaven, and you realize its not what you do, or are doing that gets you to Heaven, but what Christ did for you on the cross, I ask you to say to God something like this "Lord, i know im a sinner, and its my sin that seoarates me from You, and the best i know how i place my trust in Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, thank you for the assurance that I am going to Heaven when I die"
